Literature Review - Foodborne Transmission of COVID-19

Our colleagues at the New Zealand Food Safety Science & Research Centre (NZFSSRC) have shared their Literature Review on Foodborne Transmission of COVID-19 for the food industry. This report provides excellent information for United Fresh members and the fresh fruit and vegetable value-chain.
The report covers best practice regarding reducing the likelihood that food products or packaging are vectors for COVID-19 and the measures food handlers can take to mitigate risk.

This document was commissioned by Zespri and Fonterra, United Fresh thanks them for enabling us to share it. We also acknowledge the work of NZFSSRC.

We will continue to share fact-based updates relevant to the horticulture industry as often as we can.

This document is now available for United Fresh members in the member-only section. If you require a log in please email
